OUT OF ENDER EastEnders fans spot glaring blunder after explosive showdown in soap’s Christmas special

CHRISTMAS was full of ups and downs once again in Albert Square as a shocking murder unfolded in the Queen Vic.

However, one scene in the EastEnders special left viewers scratching their heads.

Ten nail-biting months came to an end during last night's instalment of the London-based program as soap watchers finally learned who was murdered in the Queen Vic and who did the killing.

All hell broke loose in Albert Square last night as Suki Panesar (portrayed by Balvinder Sopal) decided to publicly proclaim her love for Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) as the couple prepared for their rushed exit from Walford.

As to be expected, Suki's husband Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) lashed out, refusing to let go of his wife.

In recent scenes, both Nish and his son Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) had been arrested, accused of murdering Eve but they were released last night after Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) revealed the latter was still alive and well.

Ravi was the first to come back to No.41, warning Suki that Nish won't be far behind him and, soon enough, the businessman came back to torment his other half.

Suki was forced to have Christmas dinner with her family as Nish was standing his ground and refusing to allow their marriage to end.

But in a shocking twist, Ravi's redemption arc seemed to begin as he fought with his own father to help Suki escape and find Eve.

The showdown took place in the Panesar kitchen, with Ravi using all of his strength to keep Nish away from Suki.

Meanwhile, the rest of the Panesars - including Avani and Nugget, Ravi's children - were enjoying their Christmas dinner in the other room, seemingly oblivious to the chaos unfolding in the kitchen and fans were in stitches.

"So what the rest of the family are just eating dinner whilst Ravi and Nish are tearing it up in the kitchen??", one of them commented on X, formerly known as Twitter.

This prompted another viewer to respond: "Homes clearly soundproofed. Though seriously, I had been in that kind of situation and we were just too scared to get involved."

"Still thinking about how Priya, Avani, Vinny and Nugget were stuffing their faces whilst Nish and Ravi were killing each other in the kitchen", a third soap fan quipped.

The comic relief was short-lived, however, as Suki tried to look for Eve, only to bump into Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) and the pair ran to the Queen Vic.

Ravi was unable to keep Nish away from Suki for long as the villainous businessman eventually found her in the iconic pub and another altercation ensued.

While Nish was desperately trying to drag Suki back home, Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), Denise Fox (Diane Parish), Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) and Stacey all tried to help pull him away from Suki.

Denise was eventually successful when she knocked him out with a bottle, thus leading to the scene shown in February, 2023, in a grisly flashforward that left TV fans with their jaws dropped.

Sharon declared Nish dead and the cufflinks were shown as evidence that he may have been the Christmas victim all along.

But when Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) showed up, a heartbroken man and father, things took another turn and Nish was revealed to have been a red herring.

Keanu tried to strangle Sharon as they fought at the bottom of the stairs for Albie.

The women stood motionless, shocked by the scene while Suki tried to revive Nish, until Sharon's best pal Linda took action... and stabbed Keanu, killing him.

Nish eventually gained back consciousness after Suki gave him the kiss of life, only to discover Keanu had been killed.

How will the Six deal with the aftermath of the crime? What will Linda do?
