KING Charles smiled and carried on today after the royals were rocked by a shock death last night.

Charles, 75, waved to the public while leaving Clarence House this morning as he continued his outpatient cancer treatment in London.

Charles and Queen Camilla paid tribute to Lady Gabriella's "much-loved" husband Thomas Kingston after news of his tragic death broke last night.

Their statement said: "The King and The Queen have been informed of Thomas's death and join Prince and Princess Michael of Kent and all those who knew him in grieving a much-loved member of the family.

"In particular, Their Majesties send their most heartfelt thoughts
and prayers to Gabriella and to all the Kingston family."

The 45-year-old royal was found dead on Sunday night.Lady Gabriella is the King's second cousin by way of them both being great-grandchildren of King George V.

She said her "exceptional" husband would be remembered as someone "who lit up the lives of all who knew him".

Yesterday Charles missed the memorial service for the late King Constantine of Greece.

He was at Windsor Castle earlier but left before the ceremony began.The King was a second cousin to Constantine.

Prince William pulled out of the service at the last-minute due to a "personal matterCamilla led the royal party at St. George's Chapel for the Thanksgiving service.

William was due to give a reading but instead, Prince Pavlos, the son of King Constantine carried out the honours.

Kensington Palace would not elaborate further but said that Princess Kate, who is recovering from abdominal surgery, is doing well.

The King's appearance this morning comes after Prince Harry lost his bid for UK security after moaning he'd been "singled out" and treated "less favourably" than other royals.

The Duke of Sussex, 39, had sued the Home Office after it refused to spend taxpayers' money on bodyguards when he left the Royal Family.

A judge this morning ruled there had not been any "unlawfulness" in the call to pull Harry's security, which came about after Megxit.

Judge Sir Peter Lane added the decision had been "justified", and was not "irrational" - as it had been dubbedThe Sussexes were stripped of their round-the-clock protection when they stepped back from royal duties in 2020.
