Elon Musk: ‘No Question’ That Biden Admin ‘Is Actively Facilitating Illegal Immigration’

“They view them as future Dem voters."

Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk accused the Biden administration Thursday of “facilitating” illegal immigrants’ entrance into the U.S., saying the massive increase in unlawful border crossings since President Joe Biden took office “speak for themselves.”

Musk, the owner of social media platform X, reposted a graph on the site that showed a rise in border encounters and apprehensions and a decrease in expulsions of illegal immigrants since Biden took over.

“At this point, there is no question that this administration is actively facilitating illegal immigration,” Must said. “The numbers speak for themselves.”

One X user replied to Musk’s post, asking, “Why?!”

“They view them as future Dem voters,” Musk replied

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) sources said there were 276,000 border encounters last month, setting a new monthly record and topping the previous record set just three months prior. The first quarter of fiscal year 2024 — October through December — saw around 760,000 border encounters, which also set a record for the highest first quarter ever, according to Fox News reporter Bill Melugin.

Musk, a South African immigrant, has increasingly spoken out about the border crisis recently. In September, the billionaire visited the U.S. southern border with Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-TX), saying that “what we’re seeing here are in some cases some pretty extreme individuals coming through … obviously not suggesting everyone is like this.”

“To be clear, we’re both very much in favor of expanded legal immigration. I think anyone who is hardworking and honest and is really gonna add to … the economy, we should let them in,” Musk said on a livestream as he walked along the border with Gonzales.

A week before Musk visited the border, he slammed the Biden administration and the “legacy media,” replying to a post from Melugin that showed a large group of illegal immigrants crossing the border.

“Strange that there is almost no legacy media coverage of this. About 2 million people – from every country on Earth – are entering through the US southern border every year,” Musk wrote. “The number is rising rapidly, yet no preventive action is taken by the current administration.”

Immigration remains a top issue for many voters heading into the 2024 election as many local and state leaders — both Republicans and Democrats — have taken action over the past weeks to mitigate the issues caused by the influx of illegal immigrants.

As the Biden administration negotiates a military aid package with the Republican-led House, the White House suggested it could be open to increasing migrant expulsions and deportations of illegal immigrants living in the U.S.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told MSNBC on Tuesday that the Biden administration has sought to address border security and immigration, suggesting that Republicans were more focused on “going after the president’s family” than addressing the border crisis.
