Olive leaf oil extracts reduce knee pain and could be used as alternative to painkillers, study finds

Extracts from olive leaves can reduce knee pain and could be used as a natural alternative to painkilling drugs, a study has found.

Researchers discovered people with high knee pain reported fewer aches over six months after taking a twice-daily olive leaf extract (Ole) supplement.

Swiss scientists concluded the supplements – which are sold over the counter in health food shops – could replace medication which often causes negative side effects.
