Crashed potato! Moment lorry carrying thousands of spuds smashes into London home as neighbour says her 'whole house shook'

This is the moment a lorry carrying thousands of potatoes crashed into a west London garden last night, with one resident saying it made their 'whole house shake'.

Tonnes of spuds were left scattered outside the property in Greenford after the HGV collided with another vehicle on the A40.

A CCTV camera captured the tipper lorry hurtling off the main road and smashing into two parked cars.

It then grinds to a halt in a garden, just feet away from the front of a terraced home.

'If the cars weren’t there I’d be gone. I ran out, first to the back of the house then came out and saw what happened. There were potatoes everywhere - I couldn’t even see my car.

'Normally people are walking here so it's incredibly lucky that no one was hurt. I don’t want to see another potato. I hate it. It's lucky that the bridge wasn’t hit also.'
