Can't find that TikTok video that had you in hysterics? App is testing new Watch History feature which will help users find clips they have already viewed
TikTok is testing a new feature that will let users find videos they have previously watched and want to watch again, but can't find them among the millions shared.
The 'Watch History' feature appears to be just a beta test at the moment, not widely available for all users, and was spotted by Twitter user Hammod Oh.According to reports, the link to see previously watched videos appears under the Content and Activity section of the settings page.
This is a long-requested feature, as users often complain of spending time hunting back through video after video on the For You Page, trying to find 'the one' they are interested in, but forgot to save the first time around.
The new Watch History page will include a week of previously watched videos, but, like watch history on YouTube, it can be turned off any time.

There are no specific details on how Watch History will work, or what the page will look like, as it is only available to limited number of users.
Currently, there are a limited number of ways to keep track of videos you might want to see again, including liking a video - as these appear on your profile.
It is also possible to filter search results by videos you have already seen, but this doesn't work for a blank search, so you need to know a word or tag used by the creator of the video you are trying to find.
TikTok told TechCrunch it couldn't say more about the feature, adding 'we’re always thinking about new ways to bring value to our community and enrich the TikTok experience.'

Until this is available, the only reliable way to find past videos is to go into settings, download all of your data and going into the video browsing history section.
TikTok has been rolling out a number of new features in the past few months, including 'Stories' and longer videos.
Stories was first rolled out as a test to some countries in August 2021, and finally made available worldwide earlier this month.
It borrows heavily from similar features used by Snapchat, Facebook and Instagram, allowing users to post short term content attached to a profile picture.
It lasts for about 24 hours before automatically deleting itself - accessible by clicking on the profile photo of a TikTok user.
Earlier this month, the Chinese-owned firm also announced the introduction of 10 minute videos - significantly longer than the previous 3 minute maximum.
This is further evidence of TikTok pushing in on the market long-dominated by YouTube, which itself recently launched TikTok-style Shorts.
The new 10-minute limit has received mixed reviews on Twitter, with many saying they'd refuse to watch a 10 minute video on the platform.
One user tweeted: 'I'm blocking anyone that makes a 10 minute tiktok. I already can't pay attention to the 3 minute ones.'
Another added: 'Just make a youtube channel. why do we need 10 minute videos on tiktok.'
And one joked: 'If someone sends me a 10 minute tiktok, that person is outta my life forever.'
