Staff managed to lure the creature outside with the help of three packets of cheese and onion crisps.

It is thought the pig escaped from nearby gardens before trotting in to the club.

Bar manager, Kayleigh, said: 'He followed a customer in from the street, doors were open.

'He was very friendly and tried to get petted off multiple people and eventually they got him outside with a packet of cheese and onion.

'I came down and with the promise of more crisps got him locked behind the clubs fence.' Ronnie, and his brother Reggie, are named after London East End gangsters, The Krays and are kept on a nearby allotment.

Their owner Anthony Berry, 32, said he heard about the escape on social media.

He told The Sun: 'I saw a pig had wandered into the club and I knew it would be one of mine. Ronnie and Reggie are house trained.

'They’re really friendly.'

Club secretary Stephen Foster, 69, added: 'He seemed perfectly at home.

'It sounds like someone tried to steal him.

'They’d better hope he doesn’t squeal.'
