Watch moment hungry alligator strolls across golf course with fish in its mouth to leave golfers stunned
GOLFERS in Florida were left stunned when an alligator casually took a stroll across the course with its lunch.
Alligators on golf courses are nothing new, with several videos of the huge reptiles enjoying the lush greens and fairways in the southern states circulating online.
But it's rare that they carry their food with them as one gator recently did at the Tara Golf and Country Club in Bradenton, Florida.
Shocked golfers watched the beast casually stroll across the fairway with a huge fish in its mouth.
The gator seemed happy as Larry after nabbing the fish as it made its way to a pool of water.
Golfer Mike Murray captured the incredible moment the animal casually walked between golfers and posted the video on social media.
And stunned viewers were quick to comment, with one saying: "He's just helping his buddy get his swim on, expand his horizons and social network."
Another said: "Looks like it knew exactly the directions to the pond."And another said: "That gator ain’t big enough to be holding up play."
One remarked: "Random guy walking by gator like: 'Yeah, this is just a normal hazard on the green. Nothing strange here.' Lol."
Another chimed in: "That little guy is just a baby! Shoo that thing along and keep it moving."
In November 2020, a giant alligator interrupted play at the Valencia Golf and Country Club in Orangetree, Florida as it took a walk on the course.
Viewers of that viral clip were similarly stunned, with one saying: "Godzilla lives in Naples!"
Another said: "That’s as big as a dinosaur!"4
And another said: "That thing is HUGE!!! Looks like it is part dinosaur!! Wow. I’d die if I saw this in person."
The abnormally warm weather in Florida this winter has clearly made alligators more comfortable to take strolls in the sun.
And with winter set to come to an end in March, it's likely we'll see plenty more gators strutting their stuff on the fairways.
