Shocking moment barmaid plummets down an open cellar hatch fracturing two ribs and injuring her knee

This is the moment an unsuspecting barmaid plummeted down an open cellar hatch while talking to a customer.

Chloe Kennedy fractured two ribs and was left with nerve damage after accidentally stepping through the trapdoor behind the bar at a Glasgow pub.

Footage shows the 20-year-old serving customers at the bar, which she did not identify, alongside two colleagues just moments before the terrifying fall.

But just seconds later, Chloe, from Paisley, Renfrewshire, can be seen turning around while still talking to a customer - unaware of the drop just inches away from her.

She then takes a step before falling down into the cellar as her colleague frantically tries to grab onto her.

Chloe's arm is shown reaching for something to grab onto as her torso slams into the side of the hatch door.

Another colleague watches in horror as Chloe disappears out of sight.
