Health officials are planning to make an announcement on Monday about any future lockdowns, according to news website Matangi Tonga.

 A man on an e-scooter reportedly knocked off an old lady at a pedestrian crossing in a shocking video caught by a pedestrian.

Police have said they are aware of the footage which shows the man on the e-scooter punching a man after allegedly knocking down the pensioner at the crossing.

The rider was said to have upended the woman, believed to be in her 60s, at a crossing in Hampstead Road, Camden, at 5pm on Friday 29 October.The video shows the aftermath of hitting the woman, showing her facing down on the road.

A passer-by tried to hit the e-scooter rider with his umbrella to prevent him from fleeing the scene, and as he raises his arm, the rider throws his arm back towards him.

In the footage, the rider then punches the man who tried to intervene in the face, sending him straight to the floor.

As he falls, he also hits the wall of the building before scrambling to stand back up.

The camera momentarily looks at the old woman who is conscious as people come to her aid.

The rider can be seen getting back onto the e-scooter and dashing off before he can get challenged by another passer-by.

He scoots off as the pedestrians at the scene watch him make a run for it. 

Police have stated that they are aware of the mobile phone video but said no victims have so far come forward to report it.

A witness told the Evening Standard: 'The guy on the scooter knocked the old lady down as she walked on a pedestrian crossing.

'She was in shock and couldn't speak.

'She was bleeding from the mouth and had tarmac rush on her face.'

A Met spokesman said: 'We are aware of the video and are assessing its contents.

'We ask anyone who has been a victim or anyone with information to call police on 101 ref 6121/29oct or tweet @MetCC.'
