Incredible snap of huddling elephants shortlisted for prestigious CEWE Photo Award 2021

 A HERD of elephants huddle together in the African savanna as predators close in.

The image was one of those shortlisted as part of the prestigious CEWE Photo Award 2021, the world’s largest photo competition.

Other stunning snaps include a frosty scene on the German island of Rýgen, captured by Manfred Voss which topped the landscape category.

Another image taken by photographer Petra Jung shows the minute detail of a rain droplet just seconds before it hits the ground.

David Weimann’s entry shows an egg juxtaposed on a plate and phone.

Judge Clare Moreton said: “We’ve loved seeing so many creative and unique images shared from this year’s CEWE Photo Award.

“It was definitely a difficult choice by the judges to choose the 10 shortlisted winners as the entries this year were spectacular.

“We’ve really enjoyed seeing people’s entries to the competition and it’s been eye opening to see new perspectives and visuals across the globe.

"We look forward to sharing more entries across all categories over the coming months.”carnage
