The 31-year-old went on to achieve her own claim to fame: starring in a 2005 episode of the hit MTV reality series My Super Sweet 16, in which she opened up about her 'difficult' early life, while planning a lavish $450,000 birthday party.
Natalie's relationship with the 37-year-old Superman star was made Instagram official on Sunday when he posted an image of them playing chess together, describing the executive at the production company Legendary Entertainment as 'beautiful and brilliant'.
While Natalie — wearing glasses and a brown sweater — looks understated and low-key in the photo, that wasn't always the case.
Decades before her romance with Henry was revealed to the world, Natalie earned fame for a very different reason, by welcoming MTV's cameras into her incredibly expensive and over-the-top sixteenth birthday party where she hosted 1,000 guests.
'Money really is not an object to me. I'm really spoiled,' she said in the episode. 'Sometimes I feel guilty for that, but I deserve everything that I have because I've always been just the nice girl, never the rich girl.'
Almost famous: Henry Cavill's new girlfriend, Natalie Viscuso, 31, has a claim to fame of her own, starring in a 2005 episode of MTV reality series My Super Sweet 16

Buying popularity: Natalie (center) handed out 1,000 invitations even though she was new in school and didn't know everyone
In the episode, which aired during the first season of the show, Natalie lived in a $5 million house in La Jolla, California, and drove her dad's Bentleys and Ferraris.
The opening clips show her flaunting her designer handbags and dining in expensive restaurants, before she reveals just how different her life was before her father brought her to live with him.
Dear old dad: Natalie explained in the show that she was 'rescued' from Roswell by her nightclub owner dad, Mike Viscuso (seen together in 2018)
'I came from the nothingness of Roswell, New Mexico,' she explains. 'I lived with my aunt and uncle. Life was difficult. The whole town is only 20 miles long.
'You can cruise around for about 10 minutes and you've basically seen a Dairy Queen and a Walmart. Roswell is just... kind of lame.'
She continued: 'When I lived in Roswell, there were a lot of people who were basically jealous of me and didn't like me because I kind of stand out as being prettier than a lot of people.'
But Natalie's life was transformed when her father, nightclub owner Mike Viscuso, brought her out to California to live with him.
At age 15, she moved to live with her dad and stepmom-to-be Melissa in their $5 million house Southern California home, where she had a closet packed with Gucci, Dior, and Louis Vuitton.
'My father always wanted me to live with him but he knew he couldn't do it alone,' she said, noting that his fiancée, Melissa, was responsible for getting her out to California. California.

Movin' up! Natalie said that she didn't actually grow up very wealthy, and spent most of her life until that point living with her aunt and uncle before being 'rescued' by her dad and stepmom
Heading west: She then moved in with her dad, nightclub owner Mike Viscuso, and stepmom Melissa in La Jolla, California
Shopping trip: Ahead of her party, she traveled to Las Vegas to shop for a dress
Whatever! She also got a manicure and pedicure with lots of 'diamond' — like Swarovski crystals — that cost $10 each. She estimated her bill would be $800
'I'm the new girl in school but people actually know me because of the cars my dad has,' she said
'She basically rescued me from there,' she said, adding: 'This is just where I belong. We're above high class now. We're at the top.'
Coming up on her sixteenth birthday, Natalie was ready to throw a huge party — even if she was still getting to know everyone at her school.
'I'm the new girl in school but people actually know me because of the cars my dad has,' she said.
She planned her party at one of her dad's five nightclubs and printed up 1,000 invitations to hand out to cool sophomores, junior, and seniors — but noted that there would be no freshman, and no 'losers' allowed.
'We're so mean,' she said, laughing with her friend. 'I love it.'
She also invited her two closest friends from back in Roswell, Sara Elizabeth Ryan and Will Ontiveros — in part because she really wanted them there, and in part so they would show pictures to everyone back home who was mean to her.
'A lot of people in Roswell don't even think I'm having this party, they think I'm making it up,' she tells a friend in the first few minutes of the episode. 'I'm looking forward to doing this actually to get back at them.
'Two people from Roswell are coming out for the party, they're just real friends, people I can count on. Then they can take pictures and bring [them back] so everybody can see. I'm not a liar.'
Arriving in style: She and a few friends pulled up to the party in a Hummer limo
Upscale: The party was at one of her dad's nightclubs and included an oxygen bar, mocktails, and food
'If I didn't have money, it would suck,' she admitted
Par-tay! Natalie, pictured at her party, invited only sophomores, juniors, and seniors
Entertainment: There was a temporary tattoo artist and half-naked gogo dancers
Woohoo! Natalie danced with friends, but had a bodyguard nearby if anyone got too handsy
While picking her friends up from the airport in her father's Rolls-Royce, she added: 'I can't wait for my friends to see the new me and my new lifestyle,' before noting that Will and Sara were 'blown away' by her extravagant new life.
'It was important for my friends from out of town to see how I'm living. I can't wait for them to go back and tell everybody in Roswell.'
Ahead of the party, Natalie traveled to Las Vegas with her stepmom to go dress shopping, stopping in luxury stores like Roberto Cavalli, while explaining that she didn't want to buy her outfit in San Diego, because that's where all of her other guests would have found theirs.
'I could have found something in San Diego, but I didn't want something in San Diego because everybody else is going to shop in San Diego,' she said.
'Nobody else is coming to Vegas to go shopping so I'm going to be one of a kind. I want to be the most beautiful girl at my party.
'No budget on the outfit, you can't have a limit to spending money on something this big.'
Natalie ended up picking out a tight white one-of-a-kind dress by Paris Hilton-loved designer Nurielle for $900.
She also got her hair done, as well as a manicure and pedicure, where she has the nail technician add lots of 'diamonds' — likely Swarovski crystals — for $100 each. She estimated that it cost her a total of $800.
'If I didn't have money, it would suck,' she admitted.
Way back when: She invited two friends from Roswell (one, Will Ontiveros, pictured left in 2006) and wanted them to show photos to the kids back home

Finding love: She and Henry appear to have met through the production company where she works
The stark contrast between her past and present lifestyles was made clear during an awkward confrontation between her Roswell friend Sara and her La Jolla pal Angel, who made a rude comment about the former's buying $5 jewelry from Target while boasting that her own accessories are all from Tiffany's.
On the day of the party, she and a few friends arrived to the packed nightclub in a Hummer limo, making a grand entrance to a cheering crowd.
The party had food, a chocolate fountain, mocktails, a temporarily tattoo artist, an oxygen bar, and even gogo dancers in underwear.
Natalie's dad also appointed a bodyguard to follow her around all night, intervening if anyone was pushy or if a guy got too handsy.
All in all, Natalie said that the party cost at least $450,000.
