    Charlotte and Dale Robson were left heartbroken after Denzel and Welly were snatched from outside a Marks & Spencer in Nantwich, Cheshire, on Saturday.

    CCTV footage shared on social media showed the moment the beloved dogs were taken by two men who then fled from the town centre with them in tow.

    Police today confirmed they had tracked down the thieves to a property in Stoke-on-Trent, where they found Denzel and Welly. 

    Photographs posted online by Ms Robson captured the joyful reunion, with Charlotte and Dale seen holding the dogs closely following three days apart.

    The elated pet owner said: 'We are absolutely lost for words at the power of social media and the incredible work of Cheshire Police .... our boys are home!!!!

    In a statement, Nantwich Police added: 'We are delighted to say that we have recovered the two dogs that were stolen from outside a Marks & Spencer store in Nantwich on Saturday.

    'The Labradors were found at an address in Stoke-on-Trent this morning.

    'As you can see from the photograph, they have been returned to their hugely relieved owners.

    Mr and Ms Robson had launched a desperate appeal for the safe return of their 'beloved family pets' after they were snatched outside the store at 6pm on Saturday 

    Mr Robson wrote in a Facebook post that the brothers are 'inseparable' and he hopes 'they are being kept together now and being looked after'

    'Three people who were at the address in Stoke – a 37-year-old man, a 28-year-old woman and a 15-year-old boy – have all been arrested on suspicion of theft in relation to the incident.

    'They are all in custody being questioned as part of our ongoing investigation into the dog thefts.'

    Mr and Ms Robson had launched a desperate appeal for the safe return of their 'beloved family pets' after they were snatched outside the store at 6pm on Saturday.

    Mr Robson said: 'They are both castrated and will not be able to be used as breeding dogs. They are family dogs and belong here with their family.'
