    The Daughters of Saint Paul, an account run by sisters in Boston, Massachusetts, has racked up more than 45,000 followers on the video-sharing site and their videos have a combined 6million views.

    The challenge has been attempted by millions - including the likes of Kylie and Kendall Jenner, who joked about dating 'basketball players vs rappers'.

    Sister Bethany Davis, who calls herself a 'Media Nun', explained the platform is a novel way to help them spread their message. 

    Speaking on the It's Tricky video, Sister Bethany told ChurchPOP: 'I saw the trend pop up on TikTok and thought, "We could make that super [for] Daughters of St. Paul!"

    'Our mission in the Church is to bring Jesus to the world by using the most modern and efficacious forms of media,' she added. 

    'We are still trying things and figuring out how best to utilize this platform. There is so much potential on TikTok, so we want to be there.'

    The nuns have gathered thousands of followers, with many taking to the comments to show their appreciation.

    'How I ended up on nuns making memes TikTok I'll never know. But I'm here for it,' wrote one, while a second commented: 'Not Catholic but I think meme nun TikTok is where I belong.'

    A third added: 'NunTok is so pure, while a fourth commented: 'This is so cute, love you sisters.'

    Others said how 'wholesome,' 'amazing' and cute' the group were.

    'She's not a regular nun, she's a cool nun,' commented one,' while another added: 'The reason why we're all here asking how we got here is because our algorithm knows we all need Jesus.

    'This was so wholesomely adorable. Perfect,' another wrote.   

    The daughters of Saint Paul are a Roman Catholic international religious congregation founded in 1915 in Italy but now have centres around the world.
