    The young bear balanced itself precariously on top of the six-foot wooden fence while it was being secretly filmed. 

    A few seconds into the video, the person filming can be  heard laughing which causes the bear to pause and look directly in their direction.  

    Hours after the video was posted online, one fan asked the owner to include the theme tune to Mission Impossible to the footage.

    Cory Golden asked if the video’s owner could get a version with the ‘Mission Impossible’ music added

    Another person, Laura Millhouse wrote: ‘That’s a really big squirrel’.

    A third person suggested the bear was ‘just a big raccoo.n’

    Another suggested that the bear was in ‘stealth mode’ while sneaking along the fence.

    Aly on TikTok revealed: I’m pretty sure this is how my dog perceives squirrels.’

    William Frantz added: ‘Act normally and they’ll think I’m a raccoon.’

    The area around South Lake Tahoe, which is in the Sierra Nevada mountains, has been badly affected in recent years by wildfires which have destroyed the habitat for much of the area's wildlife.
