How to clean your plastic containers

1. Add a small amount of dishwashing liquid, some warm water and torn-up paper towel to your container.
2. Put the lid on and shake for 45-60 seconds.
3. Remove the lid and the paper towel, rinse under warm water and give the container a further wipe if it needs it.
Once she has all of the elements inside it, she simply places the lid on top and shakes it vigorously for between 45 and 60 seconds.
Adi said: 'So, I never post on here but I really wanted to share this trick for getting greasy stains out of containers'.
She added that the trick has 'saved' her from throwing out so many old containers in the past.
After shaking the container for 45-60 seconds, Adi said you should remove the towel from inside and tip out the soapy water.
Then, simply give the container a rinse under the tap and a further wipe if needs be, before draining on your draining board.

The reason why the trick works is that the paper towel helps to absorb all of the oily residue during the process of shaking, leaving the surface of the container completely clean.
The trick has been watched by nearly half a million online, thousands of which said they couldn't wait to try it for themselves.
'What? That might have just changed my life,' one woman posted underneath the video.

'Omg, that's amazing,' another added.
Others highlighted the fact that you can also get rid of stains from tomato sauces and bolognese by putting your containers out in the sun for a few hours.
You could also add a few teaspoons of sugar, some ice cubes, dishwashing liquid and soap into a container before doing the same shaking.
