Inter Milan 'line up shock swoop for Manchester City defender Kyle Walker... and hope the offer of a fresh start will tempt him' to Serie A after repeatedly breaching lockdown rules

  • Kyle Walker started in Manchester City's win against Arsenal on Wednesday
  • The 30-year-old gained publicity recently for breaking lockdown rules
  • Inter are hopeful Walker might be attracted to a fresh start in Serie A
  • However, Pep Guardiola has no intention of this point of letting Walker move
Inter Milan have reportedly made Manchester City defender Kyle Walker one of their top targets this summer.
The 30-year-old, who started in City's 3-0 win against Arsenal on Wednesday in the champions' first game back following the Premier League restart, endured a turbulent lockdown period.
Walker was criticised for flouting lockdown rules twice, and as such, Inter boss Antonio Conte is hopeful of luring the England international to the San Siro for a fresh start abroad, according to The Sun

However, the report details that City manager Pep Guardiola has no intention of selling Walker this summer.
City are already expecting to cut their losses on Joao Cancelo, with an asking price of around £60m for the Portuguese defender who they bought from Juventus last summer for a similar fee.
Guardiola is keen not to lose two right backs, particularly given the precarious nature of the market this summer following the coronavirus crisis.

Despite the absence of football since March, Walker was in the headlines for breaching lockdown regulations on two different occasions - but has been forgiven by City.
The first was when he reportedly held a party involving two sex workers in April, whilst the second in May was when he travelled to South Yorkshire to visit his sister and parents at different addresses.
Walker took a shot at the media after the second incident, saying in a statement: 'I have recently gone through one of the toughest periods of my life, which I take full responsibility for.
'However, I now feel as though I am being harassed. This is no longer solely affecting me, but affecting the health of my family and my young children too. At a time when the focus is understandably on Covid-19, at what point does mental health get taken into consideration?
'I am a human being, with feelings of pain and upset like everybody else. Being in the public eye does not make you immune to this. It is sad, but I feel as though my life is being scrutinised without any context.'

Meanwhile, Inter have recently targeted the Premier League for first-team acquisitions.
In the past 12 months, Romelu Lukaku and Ashley Young have moved from Manchester United to the San Siro, while former Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen also made the switch in January.
Walker has been at City for nearly four years, having joined from Tottenham in the summer of 2017 for £50million.
