The Royal Family has revealed how parents and homeschoolers can create a miniature version of Queen Mary's Doll's house - which features a library containing 600 books. 
The posts, which were shared to the official Instagram account, read: 'This week we are learning about Queen Mary's Doll's house and its very own miniature library.
'The Doll's House was built for Queen Mary - the current Queen's grandmother. It was finished in 1924 by the finest artists, craftsmen and manufacturers of the early twentieth century.'
It went on to say the library contains nearly 600 miniature books in total, and 170 famous authors and poets of the day added to the collection.

Offering further details about Queen Mary's Doll's house, the posts continued: 'Sir Arthur Conan Doyle wrote an original Sherlock Holmes' short story, called "Watson Learned The Trick."
'J.M. Barrie, who created Peter Pan, wrote his autobiography in miniature for the library.
'A.A.Milne, who wrote Winnie the Pooh, hand-wrote his poem "Vespers" for the library. It was the first poem he wrote about Christopher Robin. And there's even the complete works of Shakespeare...and mini magazines!'

The informative posts went on to explain that inside each tiny tome is a book plate designed for the library by E.H. Shepard, who drew the characters for Winnie the Pooh and The Wind in The Willows. 
It added that the books are kept safely in an exhibition at Windsor Castle and carefully looked after by the @royalcollectiontrust team.
The Royal Family then went on to encourage those at home to try and make their own library of mini books during lockdown, before sharing a swipe-up link to a how-to guide.
Anyone keen to make the creation will need a sheet of A4 plain or lined paper, coloured paper, wrapping paper, magazines or newspaper for book covers and spines; scissors; small elastic band, string or even a bobby pin to bind your book; pencil and glue.
