His humour has brought him legions of fans. 
And Lewis Capaldi has again taken the opportunity to jokingly retort to someone who criticised him and Ed Sheeran on Twitter.
The star replied to a tweet which read: 'Remember when we got rid of Ed Sheeran, and instead of giving us a break the UK gave us Lewis Capaldi right away?!?!? A curse!! It is literally a curse.'

In response the singer, 23, posted a photo of himself and his superstar pal doing dramatic poses to the camera.
In the snap, Sheeran is wearing a leather jacket with Capaldi's face on the back biting a rose, with 'Scotland's Beyonce' printed on the sleeve.
Meanwhile Capaldi is throwing up V-signs to the camera in the throwback snap taken at Chantry Park in Ipswich last summer.

He shared it with the blunt caption: 'F*** you my guy.'
Capaldi is known to be good friends with Sheeran after supporting him at the Ipswich homecoming shows in August.
Their friendship has led for fans of the popular singer-songwriters to collaborate in the studio.
It comes as Lewis recently admitted he was never supposed to have been born at all, as his dad was meant to have undergone a vasectomy prior to his conception.
In a new YouTube Originals video titled Birthday Song - which is about Lewis' upbringing - he said: 'You should've seen my dad, he was really sad.

Lewis said his love affair with music began during a drive to a holiday park in France with his parents, his brothers Warren and Aidan, and sister Danielle.
During the drive, he became obsessed with a Queen CD his folks had played in the car, and ended up performing We Are The Champions during the holiday park talent show.
