A dedicated woman just got the word 'vegan' tattooed on her face and the backlash is extreme.

KATE Alice has taken her special diet to the extreme – by tattooing the word “vegan” on her forehead.

And despite the harsh backlash on social media, Kate says she “regrets nothing” and is proud of the inking.

One Twitter user branded Kate a “freak” and questioned why an earth she’d decided to get the tattoo on her face.

Kate responded by telling LADbible: “I chose to get this tattoo as I’m incredibly passionate about veganism and know I’ll be vegan for life.”

“Of course the tattoo on my face received quite a lot of negative reactions because people seem to get upset when they see the word ‘vegan’.”

Kate also said that she’s had quite a lot of comments about whether she’s now employable, but she’s adamant that it “doesn’t matter” as she’s “self-employed and it’s easy to cover with make-up and a fringe”.

She was also quick to point out that her tattoo artist, Jordan McCrea, had also received criticism

In a Facebook post, McCrea was adamant that she had “a lot of respect” for Kate for “fighting for what she believes in and being proud to show it off”.
