  • He put his stunning £6.5million Los Angeles home on the market in April last year, after revealing his plans to move back to the UK for good.
    And Sir Tom Jones has now sold the enviable property in the exclusive Mulholland Estates community, telling the Sunday Mirror that he didn't 'feel comfortable there anymore' following the passing of his wife of 59 years Linda.  
    The 77-year-old legendary singer lost his love in April 2016 following her battle with cancer - a year before deciding to put his plush property, and their shared home, on the market.

    Tom said: 'That was our house in LA. I didn't feel comfortable there any more. [Melinda] wanted to come back to Britain, she was always homesick.'

    'Then she got sick and we couldn't do it. She told me to go back the last week she was alive. She told me to get a flat in London.  
    'She would have loved to have come back but we left it too late.'
    The star added that his wife was behind the furnishing and decorating of the stunning property, and that it was 'great' the new owner bought the house fully furnished.

    Sir Tom announced the passing of his wife in April 2016, releasing a statement announcing her death after a short battle with lung cancer.
    In a statement announcing his wife's death, the star's agent said: 'Sir Tom Jones’ wife of 59 years, Lady Melinda Rose Woodward, passed away Sunday morning, April 10, after a short but fierce battle with cancer. Surrounded by her husband and loved ones, she passed away peacefully at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.' 
    The childhood sweethearts met aged 12 in Sir Tom's home town of Pontypridd and married when they were both just 16. They had one child together, Mark, 59, who now works as Sir Tom's manager.
