Christmas has been and gone and 2018 looms - bringing with it the pressure to lose the winter pounds.

But not everyone is planning to succumb to the annual pressure to hit the gym.

Overweight people have taken to the anonymous sharing app Whisper to reveal the often surprising reasons why they have no intention of trying to slim down. 

One woman explained she didn't want to lose weight because she's afraid people would then put her career success down to being 'pretty and skinny'.  

Another said she wanted to be sure her boyfriend loves her for her personality - not her body. Several women said they refused to diet for fear their boobs would get smaller. 

This woman doesn't want her first boyfriend to only like her for her body but for her personality 


This woman says that her boobs are her best assets so doesn't want to lose the weight 

One woman says that that the reason she doesn't want to lose weight is because if a man flirts with her she feels special

One person doesn't try to create an excuse for why they haven't lost weight but that in fact they are just lazy

For one woman, weight loss isn't an option because she likes that she has a bigger bum now

Despite comments from medical professionals, one person doesn't want to lose weight 

One person feels that their weight is a comfort blanket and makes them feel more worthy 

This woman is very proud of her big breasts and doesn't want to loose them when she loses weight 

This woman says that she is happy being plus size and has no intentions on losing weight

For some it's more about materialistic things like clothes when it comes to weight loss 

For one person they don't want others to think that the reason they have done well in their career is down to the fact that they are 'pretty and skinny'

One overweight person uses their weight to pretend that they are pregnant and that's the reason they don't want to trim down
