You're knickered! Moment female cop pulls down topless thug's TROUSERS to stop him escaping over fence after he dragged another officer down road with his moving car

This is the dramatic moment a female police officer stops a shirtless thug escaping - by grabbing his trousers.

PC Chantelle Feyzifar, who won a policing bravery award for the arrest, clung onto the pants of a 26-year-old man as he tried to climb an eight-foot metal fence.

Bodycam footage captures PC Feyzifar stepping in during a routine traffic stop as the man tries to drive away with an officer clinging onto his vehicle.

The man then punches the officer as a woman in the car shouts: 'Stop, please! What are you doing?'Bodycam footage captured the moment PC Chantelle Feyzifar clung onto the pants of a 26-year-old man as he tried to climb a metal fence after fleeing a traffic stop in Chafford Hundred, Essex

PC Feyzifar follows the shirtless man as he attempts to flee through the streets of Chafford Hundred, Essex.

She tries to arrest him on a roadside before he runs away again, prompting a foot race between the officer and the man.

PC Feyzifar says to her police radio: 'I'm OK but... I just can't stop him.'

But finally - five minutes after the initial traffic stop - she halts the man by holding onto his trousers as he tries to escape over a fence.

The bodycam footage has also featured in an episode of BBC One's Crimewatch Live.

Essex Police shared the footage, writing: 'The bravery of one of our officers has been featured on BBC One's Crimewatch Live and now you can watch her body-worn video footage of the incident.

'PC Chantelle Feyzifar stepped in after a violent driver dragged a colleague down the road with his moving vehicle after a routine traffic stop in Chafford Hundred.

'When the vehicle stopped, the then 26-year-old man started to punch the officer."

The police continued: 'Thankfully, Chantelle had chased the vehicle. She attempted to get the man off her colleague and, despite being punched in the head herself, she was able to use her CS Spray and call for back-up.

'When the man ran off, Chantelle continued to chase him and prevented him from escaping over an 8ft gate, detaining him until colleagues arrived to assist in the arrest.'
