Wild moment Stone Temple Pilots singer stops Aussie concert to break up a brawl in the mosh pit - yelling 'there's already enough hate in the world'

Legendary rock band Stone Temple Pilots stopped mid-song to break up a mosh pit fight during a concert on the Gold Coast - but co-headliners Bush refused to do the same.

Lead singer Jeff Gutt interrupted the group's set at the Under the Southern Stars festival on Saturday night after spotting a brawl in the crowd, immediately yelling at his bandmates to stop.

'Hey! Stop the f***ing fight. Hey, stop the song, stop playing. Are you p***ies here to fight or have a good time,' he yelled through the microphone.

'Stop the fighting, there's enough hate in this f***ing world.'0

Gutt then ordered security over, saying they were stopping people from having a 'good time'.

'We've got a couple of idiots over here,' he said, before signalling to the band to resume.

'All right, back to the music. Relax.'

Stone Temple Pilots then finished the rest of their gig at Southport Sharks, co-headlining a marquee that featured Hoodoo Gurus, Eskimo Joe and Cheap Trick.

However, it wasn't the final incident of the night, with a woman then complaining she'd been punched in the back of the head during Bush's set.

The British band took the stage last, playing their smash hits from the 1990s and 2000s before a huge fight broke out.

A woman began screaming at people dancing beside her before a man punched her in the head.

The woman fell to the ground as the massive fracas ensued - but Bush continued to play.

Leading singer Gavin Rossdale apparently failed to see the brawl, continuing with the performance as police and paramedics were called.

Several people were treated but Queensland Police said no charges were laid as a result of either fight.
