Terrifying moment teenagers fight with a knife and SWORD in front of horrified passengers on a bus in south London

This is the terrifying moment two teenagers fight with a knife and what appears to be a sword in front of horrified passengers on a bus in south London.

Commuters shrunk back in fear as one boy with an eight-inch long blade jostled with another on the top floor of the double-decker during rush hour yesterday.

The brawl carried on for around five minutes, said a witness, before the pair left the bus around Telford Avenue in Streatham.

One passenger told MailOnline that a third teenager holding a metre-long steel pole with a pointed tip was stood on the staircase - 'trapping them upstairs'.

The commuter hid behind a seat because they were 'swinging around weapons like crazy'.

He added: 'I have caught that bus route for four years and for it to happen in broad daylight was shocking. I'm still shaking from it.'

Police were called at around 4.40pm but the boys, both wearing black puffa jackets with their faces covered, fled before officers arrived, said the Met.

There have been no arrests and no reported injuries. One of the passengers recorded part of the fight before retreating as the pair scrapped along the bus aisle.

The filmer, who is from Nottingham but did not want to be named, said: 'The kids with the knives came on the bus in Streatham.

'I couldn't believe it was happening. They left after about five minutes of back-and-forth.'At one point during the video a person shouts 'hey scumbag' as the two boys fight each other.

Writing online, another passenger said they were sitting downstairs but could hear the fight going on.

They added: 'I was just sitting still and hoping that it didn't become deadly.
