Sozzlebox! Doorbell camera films drunk husband's hilarious argument with his wife as he struggles to get into their house (but he can’t remember any of it!)

A drunk man had a hilarious row with his wife as he struggled to get into his house - with the whole argument captured on their Ring doorbell.

The doorbell footage shows Ian Whitehouse, 38, returning home in Bolton, Greater Manchester, after a night out.

He drunkenly starts chatting to the camera, before banging his head on the door.

The father-of-six keeps telling himself to be quiet - although he quickly wakes up his wife, Tanya Whitehouse, 35.

She can be heard telling Ian that she has left a spare key in their letter box so he can get back in.

But he is baffled by the idea of leaving a key in the letterbox and asks who would do such a thing.

His wife, clearly frustrated, starts hurling expletive-laden tirades at him.

He had been drinking pints of ale, stout and cider in the Vulcan Inn last Saturday February 19 before stumbling home.

Hungover Ian woke up the next day and had no memory of it until he watched the video back.

Ian posted the one minute and 47 second doorbell camera footage on TikTok, where it has now racked up over 100,000 likes.

He said today: 'Well, I wasn't expecting it to be so popular.

'But if it helps other people smile with what's going on at the moment in the world.'

Ian said he had no recollection of it until Tanya showed him the video.

He added: 'When I saw it I was laughing, but nervously.

'I can't remember talking to the Ring camera or hitting my head.

'We had a laugh together before my wife then decided to share it.'

In the video - which he captioned 'Drunk me' - he starts off staggering up the path and shouting 'takeaway.'

Despite being at his front door he says: 'I don't even think I've got any money to get home.'

Ian waves a stern finger at his wife as she curses at him for being too drunk to find the key

He gets too close to the door and bangs his head on it before saying: 'You f*****g k******d.'

Chatting to the camera he then adds: 'What do I do? Help me?

'How do I get in? I have no keys. Shhh.'

He then puts his finger to his lips and adds: 'I'm in trouble.'

His wife appears, saying: 'What you doing?' to which he replies: 'What you doing?'

'She loses her temper and says: 'The key is the letter box you f*****g fat c**t.'

He then mutters: 'I love you.'

But his spouse says: 'Hurry up and get in you f*****g k**b.'

Forgetting their earlier exchange he asks: 'Where the keys?'

Eventually, Ian finds the key in the letterbox, seeming amazed by the discovery and saying: 'Hello, the key is in the letter box!'

One commenter on TikTok wrote: 'They say romance is dead.'

Another added: 'This makes me proud to be British.'

Ian commented: 'Just want to add, for all those who cracked a smile or had a little chuckle, I'm glad you enjoyed it.

'I can't remember it.

'And the dog is my world and if you knew me and the wife that's us, day in. We don't hold back.'
