It's 'the dress' all over again! TikTok star's adorable video of her daughter and husband in matching 'blue' shirts sparks FURIOUS debate after her fans insist they're wearing green

An influencer's heartwarming video of her husband and daughter wearing matching 'blue' sweatshirts has sparked a debate on TikTok after her fans insisted the tops are green.

Aspyn Ovard, 25, from Utah, posted footage of her husband, Parker, getting a sweet kiss from their two-year-old, Cove, on Wednesday, writing: 'She went to put on her blue shirt so she could match her daddy.' There were plenty of people who were touched by the cute clip, but most commenters couldn't resist noting that the shirts were clearly light green.

'BLUE??? That's green babes,' one person wrote, while another added: 'There is not one hint of blue in that shirt hon.'

'The shirts are so green it hurts me,' another agreed.

There were only a few TikTok users who admitted to seeing hints of blue, but that didn't stop Aspyn from doubling down on her original color claim.

'No, that is definitely blue,' she said in a follow-up video, prompting even more people to argue that it's green.

In another clip, she asked her toddler to weigh in. When Aspyn asked Cove what color her shirt was, she sweetly replied: 'Blue.'

The mother of two even went as far as pulling up a Google search for a 'green shirt' in another attempt to prove her point, leading some to accuse her of being colorblind.

'SHOW US WHAT THE COLOR ONLINE SAYS WHEN YOU BOUGHT IT?' one person asked, and the social media star obliged.

In one of her final videos on the topic, Aspyn had her hand over her mouth in shock as she pulled up the shirt's description — which listed the color as sea green.

'I hate everyone,' she wrote in the caption, though there were a few others who also thought it was blue.

While Aspyn was ultimately wrong, many of her fans appreciated the lively discussion and her journey to realization.

Some were also reminded of the 'the dress' debate from 2015 in which an optical illusion had some thinking a blue and black dress was actually white and gold.

'Modern day "is it gold and white or blue and black" dress discussion,' one person wrote, while another agreed: 'This is about to be talked about like the blue/black or white/gold dress.'

In the case of the dress, which was blue and black, it was an optical illusion.

Objects reflect light at certain wavelengths or colors and the human brain determines the color of an object by taking in its reflected light.

But this perception can be thrown off balance by the color of nearby objects, which may also explain why Aspyn was so sure the shirts were blue and not green.

Aspyn first shot to fame as a fashion and beauty vlogger on YouTube. She has more than 3.36 million subscribers to her eponymous channel, as well as 2.2 million Instagram followers.

The influencer andher husband, Parker, welcomed their second daughter, Lola, in September.
