Diamonds are a man's best friend! Designer releases £100,000 gem-encrusted brogues with gold detailing as part of a menswear collection boasting a £60,000 platinum belt

Christopher Shellis, founder of the Birmingham-based House of Borgezie, crafted the men's brogues using 18ct diamonds and 18ct gold.

Describing the shoes, Shellis said: 'Each shoe has been painstakingly encrusted with 18ct, top quality diamonds incorporated into the very structure of the shoe'. Pictured, with the belt
Also in his menswear collection are a number of £36,000 diamond and gold-studded golden fleece leather jackets and £4,000 fleur-de-lis buttons and cufflinks.
His latest creation, the shoes, is the result of three years of work.
He said: 'Each shoe has been painstakingly encrusted with 18ct, top quality diamonds incorporated into the very structure of the shoe.'
On one side of the shoe there is a platinum and diamond fleur-de-lis, a signature motif used in Shellis' designs.
The shoes also boast solid 18ct gold insoles, 'giving the owner the privilege of always walking upon a path of gold', according to the designer.

The jackets are made from leather and are individually fitted with 30 solid gold or platinum fleur-de-lis motifs. Pictured, the jacket in white
Finally, each of the two shoelaces boast platinum and diamond tips for ultimate extravagant luxury.

Like the shoes, the precious metals on the jacket can be transferred to a new garment in the event of wear and tear.

Mr Shellis explained his inspiration for the menswear collection, dubbed the Courtier Range, was the 'golden era beginning with the coronation of Queen Elizabeth I in 1558.'
He continued: 'This was really the start of impeccable etiquette, style and fashion that was created by the inner sanctum of the Queen's royal courtiers.
'All courtiers would compete for the eye and the favour of the young queen and dressed in the very finest garments.'
