Glamorous mother-of-one, Josie Oddi, 27, from Billericay, Essex, has been called the real-life Rapunzel when she is out in public and has even been asked to dress up as the character for children's parties by strangers.
She started growing her hair to 'see how long it could get' a decade ago and said she now hopes the luscious locks will continue until it reaches the ground. Josie, a stay-at home-mother to her four-year-old son, Rocco, revealed she maintains her luscious locks by avoiding using heat on her hair as much as possible and washes her hair once or twice a week to keep her hairs natural oils.

Josie's luscious locks are now an impressive 46 inches long and reach past her knees after she decided to start growing her hair ten years ago.
She said: 'Around 10 years ago my hair was shoulder length and I just decided that I would try to grow it and see how long I could get it.'I don't think I ever expected that it would get this long, but I have really been looking after it so it just keeps getting longer.
'I am known as the girl with long hair now. I could never imagine myself with a bob. I just wouldn't feel like me.'
She started growing her hair to 'see how long it could get' a decade ago and said she now hopes the luscious locks will continue until it reaches the ground
She continued: 'I am going to keep growing it to see how long I can get it.
'I would like to try and grow it to just above the ground so that I don't stand on it or trip over it.
'I sometimes sit on my hair now as it is and it's painful. Or if my partner, Adam, sits down next to me he often sits on my hair too.'
When she is out in public, Josie says that she is stopped at least 20 times by people asking about her hair.

She is regularly asked if her hair is extensions and people are in disbelief when she tells them it is all her own hair.
Josie added: 'I am used to be stopped and asked about my hair now.
'But some of my friends find it annoying when we are out shopping and people are constantly stopping us.
'The main question people ask me is if I have extensions.

Josie said she often gets 'a lot of attention from small girls' who compare her lengthy locks to Rapunzel and Frozen characters
'And when I tell them that it is all real hair they can't believe it and want to know all of the products I use.'
She added: 'My hair also gets a lot of attention from small girls who like to compare me to Rapunzel or Frozen characters.
'I have even had mothers come up to me and ask me if I would appear at their little girl's party as Rapunzel which I think is funny.
'But I wouldn't have the confidence to do something like that.'
To keep her hair in immaculate condition, Josie ensures she pays attention to her locks to keep them growing

She said: 'I think something that has really contributed to my hair growth is making sure I have my hair trimmed regularly.
'I have an inch cut off every two months and it really makes a difference. My hair grows back even more each time I cut it.

Josie said she gets her hair cut once every two months when she has an inch cut off the bottoms to keep it healthy
'I love that my hair is in a really healthy condition because when you look at some people with long hair you can see the ends are split and scraggily.'
She added: 'When you look at my hair from the back you can see it is a blunt cut and all one length. There is no breakage or split ends.
'So as long as it stays healthy I will keep growing it.
Josie plans to continue growing her hair as long as it stays healthy, and hopes it will one day reach the ground
Josie revealed she doesn't plan to cut off her locks until she is 'too old' and 'starts to look silly', adding that her hair is part of who she is
Josie continued: 'I can't see myself chopping it off any time soon. The only time I feel tempted to cut it is during the summer and it is really warm because my hair feels like I've got a blanket on my back.
'So I have to keep it in a bun a lot of the time.
'I won't cut it off until I get too old to have hair this long and I start to look silly. I think it makes me who I am now.'
