'It looks brand new': Mum reveals how she transformed her filthy stainless steel toilet brush holder using an $8 supermarket buy

    Amanda, from AdelaideSouth Australia, shared before and after images to the Mums Who Clean Facebook group after using Bar Keepers Friend to transform the holder.

    In the comments Amanda said she cleaned the holder in the laundry sink and thoroughly disinfected it to ensure no bacteria remained.

    'Love when people can save things from landfill! Great work!' one woman wrote.

    'It's like new again. Good on you for cleaning it up instead of throwing out and buying a new one,' another said.

    A third added: 'WOW!! I've thrown these out in the past because of this reason, I'm definitely gonna try BKF in future.'
