Creative home stylist and mum-of-four, Liz Amaya, from Brisbane, posted a video on Instagram revealing her simple but unusual hack.
The three-step process involves scrubbing over the scratch with whitening toothpaste and a soft-bristle toothbrush, then wiping down the surface with a damp microfiber cloth.
The final step involves wiping over the area with any type of oil to buff out the surface and leave an instant shine.
For the demonstration, Liz swiftly removed a scratch from her stainless steel fridge.

The trick worked incredibly well at lifting the scratch from the home appliance quickly and would be best to use on marks that aren't engraved too deeply.
It is thought that abrasive texture of toothpaste removes small scratches from stainless steel and glass with ease.
After sharing the idea on Instagram with her 81,000 followers, the video has since been viewed more than 25,000 times.
