The thievery took place on March 13 in Dallas, where a couple was enjoying a 'staycation' at their home.

In the middle of the night, CW33's Jenny Anchondo says she was woken up by her husband to alert her to a 'porch pirate' in front of their home.

The robber took the form of what appears to be a Great Pyrenees.

Once the dog has the package, it begins pacing backwards, seemingly looking at the house it just stole from.

The dog then turns around and makes a mad dash towards the street before disappearing out of view with the package.

This was not the first time the homeowners had encountered this dog, who weeks earlier barked at their bedroom winner after seeing its reflection in the door.

The contents of the box itself likely didn't appeal much to the dog: toxin-free makeup and skincare products, organic jojoba oil, shea butter, and coconut oil.

Anchondo did manage to recover the box the next day in a patch of grass close to the house.

There were holes in the box, but at least some of the products - including lip gloss and moisturizer - were there and undamaged by the dog.

Anchondo's family previously contacted 311 to see if the dog was microchipped, but it's not clear where the dog belongs.
