Maryland Man Claimed He Was A Doctor Working With Anthony Fauci To Con Women Into Giving Him Money

A Prince George’s County man is under investigation after claiming he worked with Dr. Anthony Fauci’s team to develop the COVID-19 vaccine as part of an effort to get dates and con women into giving him money.

Fox 5 DC reported that Ronald Harvey Daniels presented himself to women as a PhD working for the National Institute of Health on the coronavirus vaccine, when in reality he was contracted by the institute as a video editor since April 2019 and never worked with Fauci. The outlet interviewed a woman referred to only as Camille Lynn, who said she met Daniels in March 2020, thinking she “had met the man of her dreams.”

“He intentionally misrepresented himself as a Dr. Ronald Harvey Daniels,” she told the outlet.

Daniels told her he was a doctor, a scientist working with Fauci to develop the COVID-19 vaccine. His story eventually began to fall apart, but Camille only figured it out after she had already agreed to loan him nearly $30,000.Several other women also told Fox 5 that Daniels had lied to them about his position and convinced them to loan him money. From the outlet:

FOX 5 spoke to several other women who say Daniels owes them various amounts of money from $400 to about $1000. Three women, including a woman we’ve agreed to call Nicole, are suing him, according to Maryland Court records.

“He owes me $650 but that $650 was mine. I didn’t give it to him to just let him have it. I never told him it was a gift,” Nicole said.
In two of those cases, a judge has issued judgments against Daniels.

The women say Daniels told them similar lies, including that his mother died two separate times, which FOX 5 has text messages to back up.

Camille filed a police report against Daniels for his alleged lies. When Fox 5 began looking into the matter, Prince George’s County Police told the outlet that it was investigating Daniels for potential financial crimes.

“I’ve already in my heart kind of said goodbye to it. I wish I could get it back because of my own personal situation. It’d be nice to have it, but at this point, I’m almost less concerned about my money and I really am truly concerned about making sure that he doesn’t get the opportunity to do this to anyone else again,” Camille told Fox 5.

Daniels admitted to the outlet over the phone that he does not have a PhD, but denied telling women his mother died on two separate occasions, even though Fox 5 has the text messages. Daniels also told the outlet that he would pay Camille back the money she loaned him.

While Fauci is the most prominent health official when it comes to the coronavirus, he did not develop the current vaccines, nor did his team. They were developed by pharmaceutical companies in a partnership with the Trump administration’s Operation Warp Speed.
