Sarah Jayne Balbidadez shared the footage online of her eight-month-old Shih Tzu Luffy's expression switching from sad to happy, and it rapidly went viral.
She was returning to pick him up from Mandee's Pet Supplies in Imus when the tiny pooch caught sight of her through the window as a groomer clipped his fur.

She wrote: 'When Luffy saw me the smile was too much,' and apologised to her 'baby' for leaving him at the groomers. The smiling Shih Tzu has become a media sensation after Sarah began posting videos of him online.
He has featured on TV in her native Philippines and on one of the most popular TV shows in neighbouring Thailand.
The footage from the grooming parlour has received more than 12.9 million views and 2.7 million likes on TikTok since Sarah posted in February, as well as millions more on Facebook and Instagram.
Thousands of viewers have commented on how cute the little dog is.
