TALK OF THE TOWN: Pregnant Princess Eugenie 'secures her first child a place at her alma mater Marlborough College'

The arrival of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's first baby is imminent but I hear the couple have already made moves to ensure the child has a place at Eugenie's old alma mater, Marlborough College in Wiltshire.

I'm told the Princess is keen for the child to attend the £39,000-a-year school, whose alumni also include Kate and Pippa Middleton.

P.S. Fancy getting your hands on a registration plate for your motor which features only the single digit 8? Then give Eugenie a call.

She had the reg number to signify her position as eighth in line to the throne.

But after the birth of Prince Louis and then Harry's Archie, she has slipped down to ten…

Having trouble home-schooling your kids? Well imagine doing it for your husband.

That's what Ellie Goulding is having to deal with as her art dealer other half Caspar Jopling beavers away for a master's degree in business at the University of Oxford. And the singer, 34, has found a sweet way to keep 29-year-old Caspar's spirits up.

She says: 'Caspar's really annoying. He's a high achiever. I give him ice cream as a reward when he finishes his essays.'

Nothing wrong with a bit of good old-fashioned bribery if it gets the homework done.
