Biker plunges into frozen lake when surface gives way and another rider falls in trying to save him... but friend hauls them both out

• Fortunately the two friends were rescued and Mr Adami also saved his bike This is the heartstopping moment a mountain biker fell through the surface of a frozen lake. 

  Max Adami was riding across Lake Marokánka in the Czech Republic with several friends where the temperature was -7c. 

  Despite the freezing conditions, the ice broke and Mr Adami was plunged into the lake while his friend Vojtěch Bláha also fell in during a botched rescue attempt.

  Mr Adami ends up underneath the surface, but fortunately makes his way back to the small hole - while continuing to hold onto his bike. 

  The lake has a depth of almost three fathoms. 

   Jiří Fikejz was filming the dramatic scenes. Fortunately everyone got out without injury, although Mr Adami said they were rather cold on their trip home. 

  The trio are semi professional or professional mountain bike riders and were filming the video to promote themselves online. 

  According to Mr Adami, several people were ice skating near where the ice shattered.

  Mr Adami said he is the Czech mountain bike champion. 

  He said he thought the lake would be safe to ride across because of the people ice skating nearby. 

  The friends had a 20-minute ride home after plunging into the lake.
