A nail salon that prides itself on pushing boundaries with bizarre creations has found itself in hot water once again after using shrimp heads for its latest outrageous design.
Russian-based Nail Sunny, which has more than 2.2 million followers on Instagram, came under attack by fans who branded the salon as 'disgusting' and 'disrespectful' after it shared a video of the fishy faux pas.
The company had previously caused a stir when one of its clients wore inch-long talons filled with live ants. The controversial clip, which has been viewed more than 134,018 views, documented the creation of the manicure from start to finish.
The manicurist began by shaping the nail and applying a light coat of adhesive.
The video cut to show the nail technician tightly gripping the shrimp before pulling it apart and scooping out its insides.
The head of the crustacean was then pushed over the entire finger tip and the process was repeated before the client proudly displayed the unique look.

Another beauty-focused Instagram user commented: 'This could not be any more disgusting. Wtf who does this.'
'That's the most disgusting thing ever why can't you just do normal nail designs???,' a third added.
Others simply said 'I'm about to throw up' and questioned 'are you for real?!?'

The nail salon was previously accused of abuse after it created a set of hollow acrylics before filling them with live ants.
'This is sick! Horrible. You should be ashamed,' one commenter wrote alongside the video.
And others were quick to pick up on the eerie nature of the design since the ants were likely to die as a result of being imprisoned in the talons - leaving the wearer with their lifeless bodies stuck in the nails.
