Prankster who phoned in hundreds of fake food orders during pandemic arrested, police say

Police have arrested a man charged with calling in hundreds of phony orders to local restaurants and pizzerias during the early stages of the coronavirus outbreak, who allegedly placed large orders, never picked them up and then berated the employees when they called him back, authorities said.ss shooting of a Black man, Jacob Blake, by police in Kenosha, Wisconsin on Sunday.
All three NBA playoff games were postponed, following the Milwaukee Bucks courageous decision to not take the floor Wednesday afternoon, risking a forfeit in the process of striking. Their opponent, the Orlando Magic, vacated the floor and refused the forfeit, and the remaining four NBA teams with games scheduled (the Los Angeles Lakers, Portland Trail Blazers, Houston Rockets, and Oklahoma City Thunder) all planned on doing the same, at which point the league officially postponed the contests.
The three scheduled WNBA games were also postponed, after the six teams (the Los Angeles Sparks, Minnesota Lynx, Atlanta Dream, Washington Mystics, Connecticut Sun, and Phoenix Mercury) met and discussed ways to protest, ultimately settling on a strike as well. The Giants and Dodgers are one of three MLB games that has been postponed, with the Milwaukee Brewers, Cincinnati Reds, Seattle Mariners, and San Diego Padres also opting not to play.
A few hours before the game, the Giants had some internal conversations about how best to take action, and whether or not to continue with the game. There is certainly much more to be done, but this is a very powerful start by both teams. Good on the Giants, and good on the Dodgers.
Meanwhile, the other games around the league continue, though many of the league’s Black players have chosen not to play.
