A lavish mansion with a gorgeous waterfront view has become the most expensive house to be sold in Australia this year.
The stunning home at 31 Coolong Road, in Vaucluse, in Sydney's eastern suburbs, was sold in the 'high $30million range'.
The property was purchased by Vass Electrical Industries founder Nicholas Vass and his wife Marion in 1986 for $3,725,000.

Mr Vass and his wife had previously put their home up for sale in 2019 with hopes of fetching up to $50million for the breathtaking property. In recent months the sale price went down to $42million before finally selling in the 'high $30million range', Domain reported.  
The home boasts seven bedrooms, eight-bathrooms, a floodlit tennis court, a bayside pool with a pool house, and a boat house. 
Four of the seven bedrooms are equipped with en-suites and includes a self-contained studio 'perfect for in-laws or the au pair', the listing reads.
The interior has been refurbished with gorgeous marble and timber floors, wrapped in glass under the incredibly high ceilings.
