Relief for Jofra Archer as disgraced fast bowler passes first coronavirus test ahead of his second one today after flouting strict protocols before second Test with West Indies

Jofra Archer will undergo the second coronavirus test of his self-isolation period on Monday after returning a negative result from his first.
The England fast bowler, restricted to his hotel room for the second Test of the Wisden Trophy at Emirates Old Trafford after breaching the biosecure protocols for players last week, will return to normal squad activities in the event of another negative.
The 25-year-old will then have another test on Tuesday as part of the regular twice weekly Covid-19 checks in place for both England and West Indies teams.

Jofra Archer will undergo his second coronavirus test today after breaching strict protocolst is anticipated Archer will return to action for the third and final Test on Friday after the ECB opted to punish him with just a fine rather than a suspension for returning to his home in Hove last Monday rather than driving directly to Manchester from Southampton as all players were advised.
He took part in a half-hour meeting on Friday evening with managing director Ashley Giles, his agent and a representative from the Professional Cricketers' Association.
Archer expressed regret for taking the detour home - and it is understood there was no question of ruling him out the last game of the series due to his previous good conduct.
