MADELEINE McCann cops are close to discovering who their prime suspect called on the night she vanished, it was reported last night.
Christian B, 43, was identified last month by German detectives as the person they believe abducted her.

On Thursday, the show’s presenter, Rudi Cerne, said: “I have the impression that the noose continues to tighten around the current suspect.”
Christian B. is serving 21 months in a German prison for drugs offences.
Last year he was convicted of raping a 72-year-old American woman, which his lawyers are appealing against at the European Court of Justice on Friday.

This month they appealed on their country’s version of Crimewatch for help in identifying a mobile number he called the night Madeleine vanished from her holiday apartment in Praia da Luz, Portugal, in 2007, aged three.
The Sun revealed 16 tips had come in, with one being described as “useful”.
Sources said it was from the Bavaria region of Germany where convicted paedophile and rapist Christian B used to live.
The caller said they had recognised the number and on Thursday night details were due to be revealed on the TV show.
