Rebekah Vardy has revealed her 'extreme anguish' about being exposed 'to public ridicule and contempt' by Coleen Rooney in the so-called Wagatha Christie case.
The wife of Leicester City and England footballer Jamie Vardy told in a bombshell legal document how she had been left suicidal by the accusation that she had leaked stories about Coleen and her family.
She also claims in the document drawn up for her libel battle against Coleen that the stress of the scandal had left her fearful of losing her unborn baby and suffering panic attacks that made her too scared to leave her home.
It points to previous stories about Coleen and Wayne with some 'in particular about their marriage, which have in fact come from the Defendant's friends, at times even with the Defendant's approval.'
The paper states that Sun journalist Dan Wootton had said on talkRADIO on October 19 last year that Coleen had 'manipulated the media to tell stories about her own life'.

He went on to say on talkRADIO that nothing had ever come from 'any of the Vardys', it adds.
Rebekah describes in her document how Coleen's public denunciation of her on Instagram while she was seven months pregnant had 'gravely injured her reputation'.
Detailing how Coleen had 'caused her enormous distress and very extreme embarrassment', she disclosed how she had been bombarded with abuse on social media.
Her legal papers say she even had sickening threats to kill her unborn baby with one message, telling: 'You fat ugly fu****g rat I genuinely hope you and your baby rot and die an extremely painful death for what you have done.'
Another abusive post said: 'Your baby deserves to put in the incinerator and so do you, fat nosed c**t. I hope childbirth hurts.'
Rebekah said that the widespread damage to her reputation was illustrated by research showing her name had become a more popular search term than 'Brexit' on Google in the UK on the day the scandal broke.

She also claimed that it led to her name appearing 276,822 times on Twitter on the same day, more than triple the number of mentions of Boris Johnson who had had his name published only 80,704 times.
Coleen made headlines around the world last October when she made her devastating claim that Rebekah had been leaking stories about her and her family to the Sun newspaper.
She resorted to detective work to try and discover the person who had been passing on gossip to the tabloid, based on her posts and stories which on her private Instagram account.
Coleen had her suspicions that Rebekah was the person leaking the stories from her account which could only be seen by a small number of close friends and relatives.
So in a bid to catch her out, she claimed she secretly changed her accounts settings so posts could only seen by Rebekah.
She then wrote a series of made up posts, detailing false stories about her plan to travel to Mexico to select the gender of a new baby, another story about returning to TV and one about the basement of her new house flooding.

Coleen dramatically revealed the steps she had taken and how the three stories had landed up in The Sun in a lengthy post to her 885,000 followers on her public Instagram account and her 1.2 million followers on Twitter.
She said: 'It's been tough keeping it to myself and not making any comment at all, especially when the stories have been leaked, however I had to. Now I know for certain which account / individual it's come from.
'I have saved and screenshotted all the original stories which clearly show just one person has viewed them. It's ……………. Rebekah Vardy's account.'
Rebekah immediately denied the claims and has since been fighting to clear her name and demanding that Coleen withdraw the claims against her
Last month it was revealed that the 37-year-old had upped the stakes by taking out a defamation action against Coleen to claim damages for what she claims are the unfounded allegations.
The papers filed by Rebekah in the High Court reveal that she has already paid court fees of £10,528 to have her case progressed so far, but her legal costs are expected to soar higher.
Her statement of claim which has been seen by MailOnline states that she is claiming an 'unlimited' sum in 'aggravated damages' for libel in respect of words published or caused to be published by Coleen on her Instagram and Twitter accounts.
The development may take Rebekah's (pictured) mind off the WAG war ongoing with Coleen Rooney

She is also seeking an injunction restraining Coleen from making similar claims about her in the future 'whether by herself, her employees, her agent or otherwise.'
The papers which describe both women as being a 'well known media and television personality' are stamped with the seal of the Queen's Bench Division in London's High Court of Justice.
Rebekah's statement of case accuses Coleen of making her claims 'in a calculated and deliberate manner that was designed to cause very serious harm and enormous distress' to her.
It adds: 'The publication by the Defendant of the words complained of and entirely foreseeable republications and repetitions of them have gravely injured the reputation of the Claimant.'
The statement goes on to say that Coleen's actions had 'exposed her (Rebekah) to public ridicule and contempt' and 'caused her enormous distress and very extreme embarrassment.'
In highly emotional detail, Rebekah's papers state: 'The abuse that followed the Post made the Claimant feel suicidal.
'She suffered from severe panic attacks and anxiety which manifested in being scared to leave her house.'
The document says that it also led to her and family members being harassed by the media had caused her to develop 'severe insomnia' .
She also claims to have been taken to hospital three times while pregnant due to anxiety attacks as a result of Coleen's post 'and the repercussions from it' .
It adds: 'The Claimant's stress was such that she had concerns about losing her baby or going into early labour.'
Rebekah's lawyers claim in the document that the scandal also led to her footballer husband Jamie being targeted with abuse during football matches.
The document detailed a series of matches where opposition supporters chanted taunts at him such as 'Your wife is a grass' and 'Becky Vardy's a grass' throughout the 90 minutes of play.
It says that Coleen's claims about Rebekah 'conveyed serious allegations which go to the heart of the Claimant's personality, integrity and honesty.'
Detailing the damage to her reputation, she highlights how Coleen's Instagram post was 'liked' 193,284 times while a Twitter link had 300,100 'likes' and was re-tweeted at least 85,300 times.

Headlines in newspapers, magazine and on websites also 'embedded' the claims in the 'public discourse' and created a 'digital footprint', it is claimed
Rebekah said that she had suffered such extreme abuse on Instagram that she was forced to use a filter on her account to prevent some words being published on it such as 'Coleen', 'Rooney', 'b***h', 'grass', 'rat', 's**g', 's**t', 'snake', and 'snitch'
Rebekah revealed her agony at one message, saying; 'You fat ugly f*****g rat I genuinely hope you and your baby rot and die an extremely painful death for what you have done.
'You was a fucking horrible c**t in the jungle and I'm not shocked to hear you've been exposed properly now. Do everyone a fucking favour and jump off a cliff (preferably before you give birth). W**ker'.
Another message to her on Instagram said : 'Yo snitch I hope you're baby gets put in a microwave and your husband shags some other bird… your baby deserves to put in the incinerator and so do you, fat nosed c**t. I hope childbirth hurts'
The document goes on: 'The very high levels of public abuse and ridicule that the Claimant has endured as a result of the Post continues to date and is likely to continue.'
It said that Twitter users had even joked that she should be the next leader of ISIS while others cruelly said that she could be the new suspect in the Madeleine McCann case
The document details how former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn referenced the case in a tweet, mimicking Coleen's Instagram post, by saying: 'It's been tough keeping it to myself and not making any comment at all, especially when the stories have been leaked, however I had to.

Detailing her 'extreme anguish and upset', the document accused Coleen of not contacting Rebekah prior to publication, or checking with her that the allegations were true or giving her 'an opportunity to explain her position.'
It says that Rebekah immediately texted Coleen to deny leaking stories about her when her post went public on October 9 last year .
The document says: 'Shortly afterwards they spoke on the telephone and the Claimant reiterated that she wished the Defendant had called her if she had thought she was leaking stories about her to the press and assured her that she had not been doing so.'
Rebekah claimed that 'various people' have had access to Coleen's Instagram account and could have seen posts on there and leaked them.
The document went on to accuse Coleen of 'malicious conduct', saying she had failed to apologise or withdraw her accusation despite being told that it was false.
It also points out that there were 'numerous' other false stories on Coleen's private Instagram posted between April and early October last year which had not resulted in stories in The Sun.
The document says Rebekah believed that she had been 'deliberately made a scapegoat by the Defendant for past 'leaked' stories that have been published about the Defendant and her husband, in particular about their marriage, which have in fact come from the Defendant's friends, at times even with the Defendant's approval.'
The paper points to a statement by Sun journalist Dan Wootton who said on TalkRadio that Coleen had 'manipulated the media to tell stories about her own life' and that he had 'written many, many stories' about her marriage and 'lots of other things around the Rooneys' that had come directly from friends of Coleen.
She said that Wootton had said that some stories had come 'with her (Coleen's) approval' and that nothing had ever come from 'any of the Vardys'.
A spokesman for Mrs Rooney did not respond to requests by MailOnline for comments on Mrs Vardy's writ.
