A heated debate has ignited online over how to 'properly' fold and store bathroom towels.
An Australian woman posted an image to the popular Home Decorating Mums Facebook group depicting two common ways to fold towels - and her question 'how do you fold your towels?' sparked an influx of opposing comments.
'Option A' involves folding the towel in half to form a large, flat rectangle while 'Option B' involves folding the towel towards the centre to create a higher, thinner rectangle and a more 'rolled' finish.
The post quickly received more than 4,100 comments from other social media users who had differing preferences regarding the way they fold their towels.
'[Option] B is the only way!' one woman said.
'B for storage, A for guests,' another said.

'[Option] A depending on linen space to keep them flatter' another said.
A fourth commenter added: 'God save anyone who folds like A in my house'.
Some said it can depend on the size of your house and cupboards, as different approaches work in different spaces.
But some mentioned a third option that involves rolling the towels rather than folding them ¿ a tactic that is often used by hotels

'Depends on the size of the towel. I do A and B but for the larger towels I kind of roll them but they are still flat,' one woman said.

'Neither! I roll them - looks much neater,' another said.
Previously, an Australian mum shared the secret to spa-worthy towels from home.
According to Mila, the first thing you need to do is set your washing machine to between 40 and 60 degrees Celsius.
Throw your towels in and add liquid detergent as well as half a cup of plain, white vinegar instead of fabric softener.
'Do the wash as normal, shake the towels and let them air dry when they come out until nearly dry,' Mila said.
'Then, tumble dry them for just a few minutes until completely dry. This will help with softness and absorbency,' she said.

What is the five-step method for 'spa-worthy' towels?

The reason why vinegar works so well instead of fabric softener is that it 'breaks down the residue from detergents leaving the towels soft and fresh'

1. Set the washing machine to 40-60 degrees Celsius.
2. Add the towels to the washing machine, along with liquid detergent and half a cup of plain, white vinegar.
3. Do the washing cycle.
4. Shake the towels when they come out and let them air-dry to practically dry.
5. Give them a few minutes in the tumble dryer to make them completely dry. This will help with softness, fluffiness and absorbency.
