'I saw a note and thought "this is strange". I unfolded the note and there was a $5 note clipped to it,' Ms Siofele said.
She asked her husband if he knew anything and he was also baffled, so she took to Facebook in hopes of getting an answer.
Other people suggested the gift may have been left by Camira local Susanna Lucy, who was known for leaving small surprises in groceries, Courier Mail reported.
Ms Siofele said it was a 'lovely gesture' and revealed she was going to return the favour.
'We don't need it but we can pay it forward, and the next person might need it,' she said.
Ms Lucy confirmed she was the kind soul behind the heartwarming note.

She said she and other mothers who live all around Australia often make an effort to leave anonymous gifts just to make someone's day.
'There's not enough of that sort of stuff that happens. I get a lot out of it too obviously,' she said.
Ms Lucy has been leaving small gifts for other parents for about six months and hopes others may be inspired to do the same.
She targets parenting items because as a mother herself she knows something so simple can make their day.
