'To do what I do I need some idea of the threat we face,' Washington's character says in a clip in the teaser.
When Pattinson's character is heard asking, 'Why did you bring me in?' Washington responds with: 'You really want to know? He can communicate with the future.'
Pattinson then asks, 'Time travel?' to which Washington responds, 'No. Inversion.'
Nolan, who wrote and directed the film, has called Tenet his greatest undertaking, with the budget somewhere in the $200 million range, making it one of the most expensive original films ever made.
