The mother, who was 26-weeks pregnant at the time, decided to get an early night after saying she didn't feel well and felt tired.
Little Max went in to see her but became concerned when she wouldn't wake up so decided to call his auntie Sonia on his iPad and tell her he was scared because she was 'breathing funny'.
Sonia immediately called for an ambulance and quickly drove over to the house, arriving at the same time as the paramedics.
To help the medics get inside the house brave Max stood on a stool so he could reach the front door keys and shove them through the letter box.
The paramedics brought Nicky round at home and rushed her to hospital where she was diagnosed with sepsis.
She spent a week in hospital where she made a full recover and doctors told her she would have died if it wasn't for her son's quick thinking.
Her husband Sam would not have returned home for another ten hours after Max made the crucial call.
Nicky gave birth to Max's sister Willow a few months later.
Doctors told Nicky that if it wasn't for Max's quick actions she and her unborn daughter would have died

Sam Lewis told Stoke Sentinel: 'We are grateful every day for what Max did particularly when we look back at it now and think what could have been.
'Like any other six-year-old he can be very cheeky but we have to constantly remind ourselves that he saved their lives.
'There's no question that Max saved his mum and sister's life - we still look back on this day and think how lucky we are to have such a brave and clever boy.'
