Malia Obama wears $69 dress on NYC date with posh British boyfriend

Malia Obama and her Harvard boyfriend, Rory Farquharson, were spotted on a date this weekend in New York City. Despite their Ivy League status, they kept their strolling style low-key and casual. 

Former first daughter Malia Obama, 19, has found a way to keep warm in the winter with her teenage love. The eldest Obama daughter explored the streets of New York City hand in hand with her posh British boyfriend, Rory Farquharson, on Saturday.

The couple met at Harvard last semester. The Ivy League school in Cambridge, Mass., has been a witness to their blossoming romance. The couple was first spotted together in November at a Harvard-Yale football game.

As they enjoyed the Big Apple, Malia was seen in a $69 Urban Outfitters floral dress, paired with $135 black Dr. Martens boots and a black coat. Her boyfriend paired dark pants with a plain gray T-shirt, bracing himself for the cold in an oversized blue puffer jacket.

To all appearances, the teenagers looked happy and in love as they strolled around Manhattan.

Farquharson is the son of Charles Farquharson, the chief executive and director of an investment fund management group in London. According to The Sun, insiders say he is “quite a catch.”

For privacy reasons, the 19-year-old rugby player deleted all his social media shortly after the couple made national headlines, when he was spotted kissing Malia Obama in public for the first time, just as Meghan Markle did shortly after her first royal engagement of 2018.
